Mr. Fletcher Rogers Abbott aka "Bunny" entered his new home in glory with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, June 4, 2021. Fletcher was born in Walkertown, NC on October 31, 1941 to the late Willis E. and Melva W. Abbott. He was one of twelve children.

He grew up as a child in the Methodist church and later attended Oak Grove Baptist in Walkertown, NC.

He was educated in the Winston-Salem Forsyth County Schools. He decided to enter the workforce when he moved to Washington, DC, where he worked at Washington, DC General Hospital. In his later years he returned back to Walkertown, NC.

Fletcher was proceeded in death by five brothers: Willis, Oliver, Glenn, Olin, and Porter Abbott; three sisters, Leona Croxton, Thelma Smith, Louise Douthit.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sisters, Irene Douthit and Reba Galloway, one brother Bobby Abbott, Sr. (Barbara); sister-in-laws, Mary Abbott of Winston-Salem, NC, Faye Abbott of Waldorf, MD; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces, and nephews as well as great-great nieces and nephews, that loved him dearly and a host of family and friends.

Mr. Abbott will be publicly viewed from 12:00 PM~ 5:00 PM, Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Graveside funeral will be held at Oak Grove Baptist Church cemetery, Sunday, June 13, 2021 at 3:00 PM.
