Mr. Eugene Henry Caldwell, 94, passed away August 24, 2018. Eugene was born on October 17, 1923 to the late George and Pearl Caldwell. He graduated from Atkins High School. He retired from McLean Trucking Company after 46 years as one of the oldest African American workers on the loading dock. Mr. Caldwell was a devoted member of Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church for 66 years. He was also a World War II veteran, having served in the US Army.

He is survived by his two daughters, Linda Caldwell Peters and Cathy Caldwell; one son, Eugene D. Caldwell; sister, Minnie L. Caldwell and niece, Cassandra Greene-Walker.

His homegoing service will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, August 31, 2018 at Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church. Family visitation will be one hour prior to the service, Rev. Dennis Leach, eulogist. Interment in Evergreen Cemetery.
