Mr. Eugene Edward Green, Sr., son of Joseph and Essie Green was born October 10, 1935 in Winston-Salem, NC. He departed this life on Monday, July 27, 2020.

Eugene attended the local public schools, graduating from Atkins High School, class of 1953. He was a retired employee (30 plus years) of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company.

Spiritually, he was a lifelong member of Shiloh Baptist Church, where he faithfully served on the Men's Ministry and Sheepfold Ministry.

His parents; wife, Wendy Green; four brothers; two sisters; one son-in-law; and one granddaughter preceded Eugene in death.

He leaves to cherish many wonderful memories, six children, Eugene, Jr. Green (Sharon), Yvonne Green (Leonard Stevenson), Matthew Green, James Williamson (Sarah), Lorenzo Smith (Catherine), and Karen Conyers; one sister, Janice Green; two brothers, Solomon Green (Barbara) and Melvin Green; ten grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A private funeral service will be held. Public viewing will be held from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM on Sunday, August 2, 2020 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
