Ernestine T. Marshall transitioned peacefully Tuesday, September 6, 2022 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. She was born July 2, 1937 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Clarence Nicks and Louise Tanner.

She received her formal education locally and graduated from the original S.G. Atkins High School. For many years she worked for and later retired from Senior Services in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.

Ernestine was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Angela Armstrong, and one brother, James Tanner.

She leaves to cherish her memory two daughters, Kim Marshall of Houston, Texas and Karen Marshall of the city; four sons, Keith(Tangela), Kelvin, Kenny (Mandy), and Kent (Minister Kareen)Marshall all of the city; a twin brother, Ernest Tanner; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins,and friends.

Public viewing will be Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 1:00 PM until 6:00 PM at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11:30 AM, Monday, September 12, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Chapel. Family visitation thirty minutes prior to service. *Masks required.
