Elizabeth "Lib" Thompson Thomas was born on January 7, 1932 to the late James "JA" Thompson and Emma McWhirter in Winston-Salem, NC. She passed away on Friday, October 14, 2022.

She was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Schools and graduated from Atkins High School.

Elizabeth was a homemaker and provided loving childcare for several family members, including the Swain family.

She enjoyed watching game shows, especially Family Feud and The Price is Right. She was known in her family for delicious meals.

Mrs. Thomas is preceded in death by her husband, Charlie Thomas; her parents; sisters, Ruth Gross, Odessa Hemphill, Clara Thompson and Louise Tate; brothers, Willie Lee, Ezell and James Haskell Thompson.

Elizabeth is survived by her son, Arnold Thompson; three grand-children, Monica Denise Thompson, Kenneth Thompson and David Lee Thompson; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Public viewing will be from 12 PM until 6 PM, Saturday, October 22, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service 3:30 PM, Sunday, October 23, 2022 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Interment at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, North Carolina. *Masks are required.
