Ms. Diane Modenar Jarrett was born on February 25, 1957, in Augsburg, Germany, the beloved daughter of the late Charles Jarrett and Ola Jarrett-Reese. She departed this world on December 3, 2024, leaving behind a family who loved her.
Diane graduated from Parkland High School and continued her education at Forsyth Technical Community College, where she earned an associate degree.
A loving mother, grandmother, and devoted friend, Diane was a compassionate soul whose radiant smile touched the lives of all who knew her. She dedicated her life to her family and cherished spending time with her grandchildren. Whether playing cards, competing in bowling tournaments, or traveling with her grandbabies, Diane lived her life with joy and love.
Her career began at Dunkin' Donuts, followed by more than 20 years at Sara Lee before her well-deserved retirement. In her retirement years, Diane continued to work part-time at Roses, where she spread her warmth and kindness to all she met.
Diane is survived by her daughter, Apryll Pittman; her son, Cortez (Cordeshia) Jarrett; three cherished grandchildren, Aaliyah Little, Kenneth Ellis, and Avyana Singletary; brother, Paul Dunlap; sister, Andrea Jarrett; her special friend, Ronnie Mouzon; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Diane's memory will forever live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
