Danny Maurice Hodge, 64 of Winston-Salem, North Carolina entered his eternal rest on Thursday, April 23, 2026 at his home. Danny was the adopted son of the late, Dr. Ernest Benjamin Hodge and Bessie Bernice Brooks Hodge both of the home.

Danny was educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, graduating from East Forsyth Senior High School in 1980. He later attended Hampton University. Although he was unable to complete his studies there, he returned to Winston-Salem to begin the next chapter of his life. In May of 2017 Danny was awarded an Associate's in Applied Science Business Administration and a Certificate of Completion Business Administration Core from Guilford Technical Community College.

He sampled numerous occupations and after some time, finally settled into a position as a Security Officer with Rhino Sports and Entertainment until his passing.

He was a dutiful son, caring for both parents until their passing. Danny enjoyed time spent with his extended family, especially family reunions where he could relish the good food and fellowship that was shared. He never left a family event without a "Take Home Plate".

Danny Maurice Hodge leaves to cherish his memory; one aunt, Idelia Hughes Brooks of Baltimore, Maryland; and a host of cousins, family, neighbors, and dear friends.
