Mr. Clyde H. Howell, 93, passed away on June 15, 2018, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home. The son of the late Noah and Eva Howell, he was born April 19, 1925, in Davie County, NC.

He was a former member of Chinquapin Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Mocksville, Reynolda Prayer Band, Winston-Salem and the New Philadelphia Church of God, Yadkinville. He served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Mr. Howell retired from Western Electric after many years of service.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mrs. Annie Hill of Heflin, AL, son Boyd Howell and two daughters, Bernice and Bonnie Howell.

Surviving are his loving and deeply committed wife of 71 years, Mrs. Callie Pledger Howell, two daughters, Jerry Lynn Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Donna Marie Feaster of the home, son Clyde H. Howell, Jr. of Winston-Salem, one son-in-law, 4 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and great friends.

The family will receive relatives and friends at noon, Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at Bethlehem A.M.E. Zion Church, 6475 Yadkinville Road, Pfafftown, NC prior to the 12:30 pm service with the Reverend Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
