Minister Brother Cloys Roy Cecil, Sr. of Rural Hall, NC passed away peacefully on Monday, August 23, 2021. Brother Cecil was the minister of Carver Road Church of Christ for 23 years, retiring in 2001. Following retirement, he continued to conduct gospel meetings and assisted in the ministry with smaller Church of Christ congregations.

Survivors include his wife, Mary; four children: Cloys (Sandra), Cynthia, Colin and Colina, all of Winston-Salem; eight grandchildren: Dr. Carresse (Lennie) Breeze, Jared, Jamille and Jamari Cecil, Candie and Constance Rumph; Leland (Erica) Stewart and LeAngela Stewart; four great grandchildren: Cana, Amaria, Carter and Cheyenne; a special first cousin, Alberta of Oklahoma City, OK and a number of other cousins.

Services will be conducted Thursday, September 2, 2021 at Carver Road Church of Christ, visitation with the family from 11:00 AM~12 Noon with funeral service beginning at Noon. Interment will follow in Piedmont Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be Wednesday, September 1, from 12:00 PM~5:00 PM at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home.
