Mr. Charles Joe Edward Brady was born to the late Joseph and Ethel Washington Braddy on June 20, 1934. He was educated in the local public schools in Winston-Salem. He resided in the Old Town Community of Forsyth County, North Carolina.

For decades Charles was a devoted member of Piney Grove Baptist Church and actively participated in several of the church's ministries. He was employed by and retired from R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company.

He lived a blessed life, completed God's assignment for him, and gained his heavenly wings on January 25, 2022 at his residence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie Jones Brady; his sister, Dilcy Braddy; and his brothers, Montana, David, John, Sterling and Thomas.

A loving son, husband, brother and friend, he will be missed by all who knew him. His loving family will cherish his memory and reflect on his kindness and his love of the outdoors. They include his nephews: Michael Braddy and Joseph Braddy of the city, Travis Braddy of Irmo, South Carolina; a host of nieces, other nephews, relatives and friends who loved him dearly.

Public viewing for Mr. Brady will be Monday, January 31, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Clark S. Brown and Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 1:00 P.M. at Piney Grove Baptist Church, 4715 Indiana Avenue, Winston-Salem, NC
