Charlene
Parms
Jul 6, 1960 — Nov 17, 2022
Charlene was born July 6, 1960 in Sarasota, Florida to Freda Wallace and Charles Kirby. Raised in the hometown of Winston-Salem, North Carolina by Bertha and Maceo Good in the Piney Grove neighborhood.
Charlene was a native resident of Happy Hill Gardens, where she raised four children: Larone Parms, Alisha Parms, Da'mone Carter, and Ale'ija Mayfield.
Charlene devoted her salvation and sang in the choir at Beula Tabernacle Holiness Church.
Charlene attended North Forsyth High School and worked as a CNA, Med-Tech and a Home Health Aid throughout her life. She sang in heart, lived out loud, loved hard, and fell soft for those she called lover and friend.
Charlene surrendered her fight against pancreatitis in the home and loving care of her daughter, Alisha. Her soul was made ready in forgiveness as she surrendered her way home with God restoring her vocals and accepting her songs of praise. God extended His redemption to prepare Charlene a new body to welcome her Home in Heaven.
Charlene leaves a legacy of five grandchildren, Juan Coleman, aka "Bear", King Mayfield, Alauni Little, Ayvah Carter and soon on arrival Aniyah Carter; also to cherish her memories are several brothers and sisters, namely Sandra Kirby, James and John Kirby, Debra Baskerville, and Barbara-Jean Humphries; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
There will be no public viewing. Memorial service 4:30 PM, Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Chapel. The family will greet friends thirty minutes priors. *Masks are required.
