Carolyn Deborah Bennett was born December 2, 1948 in Filbert, West Virginia to the late Matthew Lewis Bennett and Clotile Geter Roberson. She left to be in the arms of the Lord, July 30, 2017. Carolyn was a graduate from Bluefield College and received her Masters in Psychology and Counseling at Regents University. She was an active member of New Life Community Church in Virginia Beach, VA where she taught elementary school.

Carolyn is survived by her loving mother, Clotile Geter Roberson; two sisters: Jacqueline Bennett and Cecelia Roberson (Alfred) Ridgell of Clemmons, NC; four brothers: Andrew Bennett of Salisbury, NC, Marcus (Carolyn) Bennett, Marvin (Adrianne) Bennett, both of Detroit, MI and Donald Bennett of Torrance, CA; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 in the chapel of Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. The family will greet friends at 3:30 PM, service will begin at 4:00 PM. For a copy of the funeral program, click here
