Mr. Carl P. McLaurin, Jr. was born January 27, 1947 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Carl and Hattie McLaurin. He transitioned from earthly life to his heavenly home on March 4, 2018.

Carl attended Carver High School, Forsyth Tech and Winston-Salem State University. He served 10 years in both the US Army and the National Guard. Carl was a retired employee of RJ Reynolds Tobacco Company, where he worked for 37 years.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda McLaurin; son, Broderick (Melissa) McLaurin; daughters: Memoree Wilson and Melissa McLaurin; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; uncles, Preston Webb and Alphonzo (Elizabeth) Webb; aunt, Marion (Pharmon) Jones; cousins, Barbara Dula and Betty Fowler; five brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law; a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Thursday, March 6, 2018 at Phillips Chapel Baptist Church. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Piedmont Memorial Gardens.
