Calvin Lamont Braddy, Sr., known to his family, extended family and friends as "Dunkem" or "BIG DOG", was born on February 15, 1962 to the late Clarence and Rosanna Braddy. At age 60, Calvin was promoted to glory on October 1, 2022.

A talented artist with a creative mind, he hand-painted advertising signs for several businesses in the local area. His ability to use tools as an extension of his gifted hands, was proven in his employment as a repairman at Wagner Appliance Store in Winston-Salem, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Sharon Cain, Joanne Martin, and Pamela Braddy; and one brother, Cedric Braddy.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a daughter, Shequila Eldridge; a son, Calvin Braddy, Jr.; four grandchildren, Robert Alexander, Jr., Zy'Tavius and Ni'Ari Eldridge, Nevaeh Braddy; two brothers, Clarence Braddy, Jr. and Carnell Braddy; and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins; the children's mother, Lanita Eldridge; and a devoted friend, Renee Danzy.

Public viewing will be from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 12:30 PM on Friday, October 7, 2022 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Chapel. Family visitation will be thirty minutes prior to service. *Masks are required.
