Mr. Bernard Leon Cook, the son of Valerie Cook and Willie Conrad Sr., was born on January 9, 1967 in Winston-Salem, NC. He loved and was loved.

Educated in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, he participated in many activities and enjoyed sports. For many years he was employed as a forklift driver.

Spending time with his family brought him great joy and he especially enjoyed watching his favorite NFL team, the Pittsburg Steelers. Bernard was a diehard fan. In the community, he loved and was concerned about his Boston/Thurmond Neighborhood and friends.

Bernard passed away on January 14, 2022. He was preceded in death by his brother Michael Cook in 1978; his paternal grandparents, Mike and Mable Conrad; and his maternal grandparents, William and Lucille Cook.

He is survived by his parents; sons, Bernard Cook Jr. and Tevan Martin; grandchild, Adrian Cook; sister, Dewanna Cook; brothers, Willie (Jackie) Conrad Jr., Marcus Conrad and Michael Conrad; aunts, Mary (John) Epps, Mary (Greg) Sawyer; uncle, Bobby Edmond; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and friends, Angie Martin and Darryl Brown.

Public viewing for Mr. Cook will be Wednesday, January 19, 2022 from 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Service will be private.
