Miss Ashley Diane Davenport was born on November 9, 1996 in Fairfax, VA to the late Edward Davenport and Doretha Hampton Cunningham.

She was a graduate of Mt. Tabor High School. Ashley furthered her education by attending North Carolina A&T University. She received her Business Analyst Certification through the Road to Program Hire in Charlotte, NC. Ashley began her professional career as an Associate Store Operation Analyst for Lowe's Companies. She was presently a Data Analyst and a Diversity and Inclusion Champion for Lowe's.

Ashley was full of life and loved to laugh…the life of the party and always up for a "Great Debate"! But most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends. Ashley loved to sing, listen to music and dance. She demonstrated her artistic expression through make-up, interior design and cooking.

Our dearest Ashley left us way to soon on October 21, 2024. She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Davenport; aunts, Zenita Hampton and Pearl Harris; uncles, Carl Hampton, Stevie Hampton and Anderson Davenport.

Ashley is survived by her mother, Doreatha D. (John, Sr.) Cunningham; sisters: Alisha L. Jones and Cara E. Davenport; brothers: Rafee T. Hammons and Edward J. "Teddy" Davenport; nieces: Shadawn L. Hammons and Nala J. Hammons; special nephew, Logan R. Jones; aunts: Linda Wanzo, Hazel Hampton, Betty Jean Hampton and Nicole Hampton; uncle, Samuel Hampton; God son, Noah Brown; best friend, Tareesha Watkins; her furry family, Star, Amor and Kiko; a host of other relatives, cousins and friends.

There will be no public viewing. Funeral service 1:00 PM, Monday, October 28, 2024 at Second New Bethel Baptist Church, 1900 New Walkertown Road, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27106. The family will receive friends one-hour prior to service. Clark S. Brown & Sons in charge of services. Interment in Forsyth Memorial Park.
