Anthony Cortez McIntyre was born in Winston-Salem, NC on October 30, 1958 to Arteria McIntyre and Sally Wallace, both now deceased.

He received his early education in Forsyth County schools and graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport, CT. He attended Bullard-Havens Tech in Bridgeport, CT and Forsyth Tech in Winston-Salem, NC.

He was the owner of Residential Maintenance Group (RMG). A member of Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church he was also a member of a Scottish Rites Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge. In his leisure time, he enjoyed fishing, doing yard work, dancing, and making the best ice cream sundaes.

After experiencing many challenges to his health, he fought valiantly and conquered his last battle on January 17, 2024. He then joined family who preceded him in death including his parents; brothers, Arteria McIntyre, Franklin (Bucky) McIntyre, and Reginald McIntyre; sister, Gloria McIntyre Kinchen; and his stepfather, William Wallace.

Remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Sharon McIntyre; son, Da'Shaun McIntyre (Shanice); daughter, Rockeya Stewart (Jeffrey); grandsons, RayQuan Under-wood and Maverick McIntyre; granddaughters, Kiajah White and Zoe Montero, sister, Pamela Evans (Danny); aunts, Mary Joel Jester, Helen Joel Robinson; mother-in-law, Rose Jarvis; brothers-in-law, Cecil Lewis and Ronnie Underwood; sisters-in-law, Vera Blank, Belinda Sampson, and Donzilla McIntyre; several nieces, nephews, cousins; and a host of friends.

Public viewing will be held from 12:00 PM until 6:00 PM, Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at Clark S. Brown & Sons Funeral Home. Funeral service 12:00 PM, Thursday, January 25, 2024 at Phillips Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, 132 Glenn Avenue, Winston-Salem, North Carolina 27105. Interment in Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, North Carolina.
