Obituary

Alma Lee Hall Clement was born in Lancaster, SC on June 9, 1930 to the late Lillie Wade Hall and Jack Hall, and gained her Heavenly Crown and Wings on May 15, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her mother Lillie Hall and father Jack Hall, brothers Henry (Wade), Clarence, McCrory, Willie, James (J.T.), Vernon, sisters, Mary, Lillie Ruth, Madie, son Jerald and grandson Jermaine.

Early in life, Alma attended 14th St. School and then on to Atkins High School. She was previously employed by Fairchild Burns before she left to care for her mother and older brother. She was an amazing caretaker for her family.

She was a loving and caring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, auntie and friend. She loved her flowers, gardening and not to mention, her Gospel Music. She loved cooking for her family and making those famous Sweet Potato Pies for everyone.

Oh, and how she loved all of those grandchildren, words cannot begin to express. Stretching that love from Durham back up to Winston. She always made special nicknames for her loved ones. She just loved all of her family. However,... don't do anything to her.... and you know the rest. She didn't start anything, but she sure could take care of herself. She was a remarkable and strong woman. She will be surely missed. Life will not be the same without her in it. Earlier in life, she attended Goler Memorial A.M.E. Zion, then after living in Detroit, MI, she returned home and attended Goler Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church and Emmanuel Baptist Church.

Alma leaves to cherish and celebrate her life and memory her husband of 74 years, George Wesley Clement; daughter Denise Dubose-Wynter; brother Marion Hall; sister Florence Brown of San Diego; four grandchildren: Chirae Dubose, Celicia Williams ( Steve), Michael Dubose (Quiana) Renate Dubose (Tonilee); six great grandchildren: Chazzni Clement, Azziah Amado, Khyla Miles, Chloe Clement, Caiden Williams, Emerie Dubose, three great great grandchildren, Christian Clement, Chazzen Clement and Taelor Clement and a host of special nieces nephews, family and friends.
