With a heavy heart I write this post. After 103 years of a full life, our Matriarch passed away. You were more than a grandmother a.k.a Granny to us — you were the foundation of our family, the steady hands that held us together through every season of life. Losing you feels like losing the center of our home, the place we all returned to when we needed comfort, wisdom, or simply to feel safe.
You carried our family with strength, grace, and an endless well of love. You taught us what it meant to show up for one another, to forgive, to laugh even when times were hard, and to love without conditions. So much of who we are is because of you — in the values you passed down, and the stories we will tell for generations.
Your love was constant and dependable. It lived in the meals you made, the way you listened, the advice you gave even when we didn't ask, and the quiet sacrifices we didn't fully understand until now. You made everyone feel seen and valued, and there was always room for one more at your table and in your heart.
Though our hearts are breaking, we are so deeply grateful for the life you lived and the legacy you leave behind. Your strength lives on in your daughter, your grandchildren, great grandchildren and everyone who had the privilege of being loved by you. We will carry your lessons, your laughter, and your spirit with us always.
We take comfort in knowing that your love didn't leave with you. It remains in every memory, every family gathering, and every moment we lean on each other the way you taught us to. You may no longer be with us in body, but you will forever be with us in heart.
Rest peacefully, Grandma. Thank you for everything you gave, everything you were, and everything you continue to be for us. We love you beyond words, and we will truly miss you!
