Aaron L.
Wardlow
Feb 14, 1961 — Sep 30, 2021
On February 14, 1961, the late Aaron McFadden and Rosa Lee Wardlow were blessed with a baby boy whom they named Aaron. He was the seventh of eight children.
Aaron graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School in 1980 and soon after joined the United States Army, where he proudly served for 23 years, 2 months, and 5 days. He continued his education while in the Army and obtained an Associates Degree. While stationed at Fort Knox, KY, he met Debra Meeks-Wardlow, whom he married in 1990. They raised three children, Willie Levon, Danielle Latrice, and Erin Tamesha Wardlow. In 1990 Aaron joined the Freemasons in Frankfurt, Germany, where he earned the 33 rd Degree.
In 2006, Aaron repented, was baptized, and added to the body of Christ in Locust Grove, Georgia.
Aaron was an elite soldier and took great pride in being a soldier. His uniform was always starched, and boots were always spit-shined. Due to his exemplary services, he was selected to serve as an Army Recruiter for 3 years. Aaron lived abroad for more than 9 years, which includes a Bosnia expedition. He received over 20 awards during his military career. Some time after retiring from the Army, he worked as a military contractor in Kuwait for over 6 years. Over half of his life was dedicated to military service.
Aaron was a very jovial individual and had a very giving heart. He loved playing spades (which is how he met Debra), dominoes, and grilling.
On September 30, 2021, Aaron passed away peacefully at his home. He was preceded in death by his father and mother; sister, Debra Jean Wardlow; brothers, Larry, Dennis, and Nathaniel Wardlow.
He leaves to cherish his memories, Debra, Willie, Danielle (Lathaddeus), Erin Wardlow all of Griffin, GA; his oldest son, Aaron Wardlow, Jr. of Hinesville, GA; one sister, Flora A. (Jacob) Cameron of Winston-Salem, NC; two brothers, Cornell and Tommy Lee Wardlow both of Winston-Salem, NC; seven grandchildren, and many other special nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be private. There will be no public viewing of Mr. Wardlow.
